2nd Charter Meeting 04/13/2011
| Below are pictures and information on IMS Local Chapter #1 Second Meeting. The Date was set to the 2nd Wednesday of the month, and the meeting was started at 7:00pm. We had 12 entertainers show up. Emails were sent to local SAM, IBM and KIDabra members about this meeting. 12 persons at an second meeting is a good start. I've got several calls and emails from potential members who want to be charter members but couldn't make this meeting.

| We choose to follow the 10 Volume DVD set "The Greatest Effects of Magic" with Gary Darwin. The first meeting we did Productions, and this meeting we did Vanishes and Disappearances.

| Since the Volumes have a combination of coins cards, and prop magic, after watching Volume 2, we looked at several props that can be both Vanishes and Productions, such as the fish Bowl Production which was similar to the one in this Volume. Because both Productions and Vanishes go hand-in-hand, we did both at this meeting.

| We also reviewed last months productions of sponge balls and silks, as demonstrated by Dr Howard Saul.
| 
| Jeff Carson show us a comical way to instantly produce 4 Sponge balls. This is a great MC effect.
| 
| As a group we practiced how to produce and vanish one or more cards using the Back Hand method.
| 
| Here Dennis Michael is demonstrating and helping Dr. Saul vanish a card the Back Palm method..

| Jeff Carson is demonstrating the vanishing of a coin using the back hand method.

| The coin is vanished (On his had near his wrist) and later is dropped into the sleeve

| Steve Cambien is demonstrating sleeveing techniques
| 
| Volume 2 gave examples of the Topit and Steve and Jeff discussed the importance of the Topit and how to make one as well as how to use one. This was a very informative discussion.

| Jeff Carson demonstrated a production and vanish using a thumb tip with a magnet in it, a diamond silk and a metal pail for walk arounds situations. Quite an impressive method.

| We all posed for the group photo, those who wanted to become members were asked to go to the IMSMagic.com Web Site and join if they were not already IMS Lifetime Members. We ended the meeting at 1:30am (WOW...Late) because time just flew by so fast when everyone was having such a good time. We all practiced sponge ball productions/vanishes, the same with coins and cards. We discussed a variety of Prop vanishes.
